JOURNEYMAN MECHANIC-FU

A Journeyperson Mechanic or Maintenance Person is one who
is a finished mechanic and has the necessary tools required
by his/her trade. In general, he/she is a person who could
qualify as a Journeyperson workperson in his/her trade in
any industrial or job shop. Mechanics's work primarily
consists of one or more of the following trades: Machinist,
Electrician, Painter, Boiler REpairperson, Millwright,
Pipefitter, Welder, Instrument Repairperson, Carpenter,
Mechanical Inspector, Roll Grinder Tinsmith, Auto Mechanic.
He/she must be able to execute the necessary work without
direct supervision from his/her Management Representative
or Delegate. For instance, a Journeyperson Piper must be
able to take a working drawing or blueprint of a layout, go
out on the job, take necessary measurements, requisition,
cut and install the pipe, without more than the general,
normal supervision or direction of a Management
Representative or Delegate.
