Career Question of the Day

CQ#20: I work from home. How can I be more productive?

Quick Answer:

The first question you want to ask yourself is, "Is there a balance between my 'work' space and 'home' space"? A lot of people who work from home aren't afforded an extra room that can be designated as an office, where they can shut the door at the end of the day and relax in the sanctuary of their home. If you fall into this category, maintaining an organized space is key to keeping the "work" mentality. Also, when it comes to equipment and supplies, don't sacrifice quality for cost. Having a comfortable chair, good headphones, etc. means you're able to focus more instead of fighting the urge to fire up the TV and catch the latest daytime drama.
