Look at how many hours the job demands, what kind of education you need, the median salary in today's economy, the opportunity for upward mobility, etc. You don't want to end up in a job you think you'll like. You want one you'll love! Lastly, once you've started applying, you need to be prepared to negotiate conditions for any jobs that might come your way, such as salary and benefits.
