Career Question of the Day
CQ#16: What jobs are there in the entertainment industry?
Quick Answer:
If you're not looking for something in the spotlight, there are plenty of jobs behind the scenes for people with some college education. If you have two or more years of college and you don't mind some office work, you could work in human resources; or if being part of the process of production is more up your alley, try out being a digital design artist/animator, on-set medic, costume designer, screenwriter/television writer, cook/caterer, hairstylist or make-up artist; or, if you're good with your hands, there are lots of miscellaneous crew positions.
For those with four or more years of college, opportunities are there to be the person who helps connect various parts of the industry, such as marketing, law and accounting/finance, or as an agent or studio teacher.
