Ancient Secrets for Modern Computers

Ancient Secrets for Modern Computers

When we choose our computers, we’re more concerned with RAM and gigabytes than we are about feng shui. But is there a secret to locating your PC that will help you do (or get) a better job? Sit down, face your desk and read on to locate the feng shui power points that will be most auspicious for you.

If your dream job is in sales, accounting or anything having to do with facts, figures and finances, the best location for your computer is the Wealth area of your desk. Where’s that? Upper left-hand section (or as close to it as possible).

Are you running for office or dealing in talent, PR or broadcast news? No doubt the Fame and Reputation area of your desk, which is front and center at the top, will give you the edge on your competition.

Maybe you’re communicating information with staff, vendors and clients via massive amounts of emailing? Developing smooth relationships is paramount to your success. It’ll go a lot easier with your monitor in the upper right-hand corner (that’s the Love & Relationship area).

Health workers and family counselors are served best by the Family and Health area, located in the middle of the desk’s left side.

For all you CADs out there (I mean creative types, not jerks!), the Creativity and Future Projects area — right-hand middle section of your desk — gets your juices flowing.

Going places (or want to)? Put the laptop in the Travel and Helpful People area of your desk. That would be the lower right-hand side.

The lower left-hand side of your desk occupies the Wisdom and Knowledge area. What better location for teachers, technical writers, librarians or spiritual leaders to set up their PCs?

Of course, if you are already the boss/head honcho/master of the universe, there’s no better location than the center of your desk in the exact middle (Tai Ch’i area) or the bottom middle section directly in front of you (also known as the Career area). Good luck with yours!
